1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly — your name, email address, and the financial transaction data you enter into Myexpense. We also collect minimal usage data (pages visited, features used) solely to improve the product.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the Myexpense service
  • To send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
  • To send optional product update emails (unsubscribe any time)
  • To improve features and fix bugs
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on MongoDB Atlas servers in India. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We use industry-standard security practices and conduct regular security reviews.

4. We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal or financial data with any third party — ever. Your financial information is private and belongs to you.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Myexpense: MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), Google OAuth (optional sign-in), SMTP (transactional email). Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not use any advertising or analytics third parties.

6. Cookies and sessions

We use a single secure HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies of any kind.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@Myexpense.org. You can also export all your data from the Settings page, or delete your account entirely.

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, all data is permanently purged within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

9. Children's privacy

Myexpense is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you via email of any material changes at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use of Myexpense after that date constitutes acceptance.
