1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Myexpense ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Myexpense is a personal finance management platform that allows users to track expenses, manage budgets, and organise financial data across personal, family, travel, and event contexts.

3. Free service

Myexpense is completely free to use. There are no subscription fees, no credit card requirements, and no hidden charges. All features are available to all registered users at no cost.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts
• Do not upload malicious content or scripts
• Do not resell or sublicense the Service
• Do not reverse-engineer any part of the platform

5. Your data

You own the financial data you enter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service. We will never sell or share your data. You can export or delete your data at any time from the Settings page.

6. Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance with or without prior notice. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Myexpense is a tracking tool — it does not provide financial, legal, investment, or tax advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Myexpense and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you via email of any material changes at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Myexpense is registered.
